Forest Side Guesthouse, formerly known as Temple Lodge, offers accommodation in Lyndhurst, the heart of the New Forest National Park. Situated opposite the open forest, enjoying views over to Bolten's Bench and the freely wandering New Forest ponies, donkeys and cattle, you can appreciate all the charms that the New Forest has to offer on your doorstep.

Our guesthouse has retained many of its Victorian features and boasts a splendid wooden staircase, beautiful stained glass windows, high ceilings and original fireplaces.

Forest Side has six delightfully spacious, en-suite guest bedrooms over two floors. All have flat-screen TV and DVD, mini fridge offering refreshments and snacks, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer and complimentary luxurious pampering products.
Our dining room overlooks our splendid and colourful garden.

Our sun garden offers a chance to unwind after a day 'out and about' exploring. If you are not fully prepared for the change in our English weather, then why not pick up our complimentary wellies before you leave and let us make you a warm flask of coffee with our compliments.

Or why not relax in our cosy guest lounge with two large sofas, chess, backgammon, board games and our library of books and dvd's where we aim to provide you with all your home from home comforts.

Start your Forest Side adventure with our scrumptious, cooked to order, traditional English breakfast to include a choice of bacon, sausage, eggs, beans, tomato, mushrooms, hash browns and black pudding. All of our products are local sourced where available. Alternatively try our fresh fruit salad, cereals, porridge, pancakes with maple syrup, smoked haddock with poached eggs or our heavenly smoked salmon with scrambled eggs. All served with the finest British and fruit teas, coffee, fruit juice and toast and preserves. Special dietary requirements can be accommodated for upon request, please let us know at the time of your booking. Please also inform us of any allergies that we should be aware of.

With private on-site parking, less than 20 metres from the open forest and a 5-minute stroll into the thriving village of Lyndhurst offering tea rooms, cafes, fabulous restaurants and traditional pubs, you really will be centrally located to enjoy all that the capital of the New Forest has to offer.
