I started K9 Education Dog Training as I want to help. I believe the more we challenge our dogs mentally the stronger the relationship will become.
Training should be fun; I employ the latest science-based, force-free, pain-free methods only using rewards to increase desired behaviours.
Through patience, consistency and kindness, training goals can be achieved, and even surpassed.
Whether you are seeking obedience training, or behaviour modification, I feel it is important to approach each dog individually, and use creative problem solving to best address training and behaviour issues.

My dog is Emma, she's a Doberman/Bloodhound cross who is very difficult to walk because she pulls like she's pulling a chariot! I needed someone to walk her whilst I was on holiday and she was being looked after by my Mum.
Shane not only walked her and looked after her like she was his own but helped train her and gave us some fantastic tips on how to sort her waking behaviour out.
Can't recommend Shane highly enough. Clearly cares for the dogs and they love him too!

I was looking for something for my Greyhound that would provide some socialising as well as a positive reward based training course using Victoria Stilwell's methods. The K9 beginner's course ticked those boxes.

We inherited an elderly rescue dog Toby who was incredibly anxious, aggressive towards other dogs, nervous and unpredictable around young children. We had seen a behaviourist previously and read a great deal to try and help make him a less anxious dog.We first contacted Shane and spoke to him at length before our first session. He came and within 10 minutes had shown us techniques that helped Toby remain calm and focussed. We then worked on one issue at a time, and Toby is transformed dog! Before Shane helped Toby we were restricted to short street walks near our house. We can now take him into cafes and shops, and he remains calm (mostly) and our relationship with him has flourished.I can't begin to convey the difference this has made to our understanding of Toby, and our own stress levels.
Shane has given us the confidence and skills to help Toby manage his anxiety and to understand his behaviour - such as the difference between frustration and aggression on the lead.

Shane has been working with my dog on her fear of the vacuum cleaner. She used to run panicked from a room everytime the vacuum came out. She still doesn't like the vacuum but will now leave the room in a calmer manner. She will even check where the vacuum is instead of hiding in the corner. We have Shane's reward based approach and dedication to thank for the change in her behaviour.

Shane came to my home to do a consultation on my son and dog. My son had just started walking and I wanted advice around the dog, and how to support him through the changes in his environment. Shane was a friendly and professional chap who gave practical advice and manageable tasks to do. His advice has helped my dog cope with a toddler taking over the house, and has helped the kid and the dog build a positive relationship

If you want caring and professional advice about training and understanding your dog and it's behaviour look no further! I have used Shane's positively method to successfully stop my dog jumping up at people when they come to the door! She now sits happy waiting for me to tell her to greet them! Shane also helps you to understand your dog as part of the family and is happy to involve your children and teach safe and appropriate ways for your children to play with your dog.
