Our team of highly skilled Physiotherapists have been working for NHS and Private Sector in close liaison with GPs and Consultants and have been looking after the health of the community for last 15 years.

We thoroughly evaluate, diagnose & treat conditions like low back pain, neck pain and tension headaches, shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand, hip, knee and ankle pain; sports injuries, work or whiplash accidents, arthritis and Post Fracture and Post-operative Surgery Rehabilitation.

We advise on management of pain and use evidence-based techniques like Manual therapy, acupuncture, kinesio-taping, exercise program and rehabilitation and latest healing technologies like Shockwave therapy and Ultrasound to restore your health and function.

Our Extended Scope Physiotherapist specialises in musculoskeletal injuries, diagnosing patient conditions and administering injections (cortisone and hyaluronic acid). Our Extended Scope Physiotherapist also refers for appropriate diagnosis i.e MRI, X-Rays and Ultrasound to Hampshire Clinic and Candover Clinic in Basingstoke ONLY.

Shockwave Therapy

Extracorporeal Radial Shockwave Therapy is a series of high-energy impulses to the affected area. It is used as a treatment for trigger points, myofascial pain and tendinopathies like shoulder impingement, tennis elbow, hip bursitis, patellar tendinitis (knee), Achilles tendinopathy (ankle) and plantar fascitis (foot).

Shockwave therapy stimulates the body's natural healing process. There is actually an immediate reduction of pain and improved ease of movement. Secondary effects are minor. Shockwave therapy may also reduce the chance of further surgery.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is one of the many skills used within physiotherapy as an integrated approach to the management of pain and inflammation and as a means of stimulating the body’s own healing chemicals in order to aid recovery and enhance rehabilitation (getting better, quicker).

Acupuncture involves insertion of very fine stainless steel needles into the skin.

It has been used in China since 2000 years and increasingly in Western medicine since 1970s.

Acupuncture can be used to treat wide range of musculoskeletal problems and to reduce pain.

Niceguidelines (2009) recommended 10 sessions of Acupuncture for persistent non-specific low back pain. In September 2012, NICE recognised Acupuncture’s benefits for migraines and tension-type headaches too.

Acupuncture can be combined with other Physiotherapy treatments such as exercise, manual therapy and relaxation techniques. It can also be used with when other more conventional treatments have failed.
