Profile

Long Jump Runway

The long jump run up and triple jump events are competed in by masses of people at all different standards and ages. Participation varies from recreational, all through schools and colleges, to sports clubs and athletics clubs.

Each of these athletic establishments will need a different design and long jump runway specification to meet their needs, requirements and budget. The design and specification of the long-jump run up can vary in terms of the type of surfacing, size and dimensions, groundworks along with measurements. No matter your level of participation or age we can design a long-jump runway facility to suit you in terms of length, surface type and your budget. Compact athletics facilities are commonly being installed in nearby schools for recreational use because these don't need to be installed to IAAF standards. Long jump tracks can be installed as part of these smaller facilities.

As with the long jump, the triple jump event is growing ever popular amongst a wide range of people, all of different age and ability. The type of participation varies from recreational right through to international standard and is participated by thousands of young people throughout the UK in primary schools, secondary schools, colleges, universities, leisure centres and sport clubs. At schools it's important to have sustainable sport facilities and these compact smaller sized features offer that.

The sports and athletics sector refers to Amateur Athletic Association as AAA. Well before UKA, it was AAA who was the official body responsible for athletics. Rather than governing athletics, Amateur Athletic Organisation now represents the volunteer section. The AAA is working with a range of educational institutions and sport clubs in Britain. A variety of challenges and events are offered to younger athletes by the AAA to help them improve their sporting skills. These events for young sport athletes put together by Amateur Athletic Association are respected as development equipment for grass root and children for the future.

AAA Standards Scheme is an acknowledgement of athletes grading them with regards to distances or times with track and field events. There are different standards for various age brackets and also genders for each event, that makes the standards fair; these kinds of requirements fall under four different grades in which sport athletes may be classified in. The overall performance standards for the sports events are created by databases of information collected over the years which is revised every two years. Certificates and badges are awarded to kids which conform to these kinds of standards. England Athletics and also the AAA make an effort to enhance the number of people who take part in athletics by offering out plaques and rewards to young people achieving Grade One. The AAA Charity for the Young give small grants to younger athletes attempting to start their careers.

There are a number of funding grants which may be given to local schools as a result of sugar tax. The sugar tax has been introduced by the government as a way to tackle obesity in young people. The tax on fizzy drinks means that there is more money available which may be used to better school's sports facilities. Athletics facilities like long-jump run ups and running tracks may be funded by the sugar tax, as these introduce young people to new activities which can help to better their physical fitness and health. The installation of new facilities can also help to reduce childhood obesity, as young people will be more likely to get involved in athletics if the facilities are new and in good condition.
