About us
We are two experienced Physiotherapists who have over 30 years combined experience.
Specialising in Neurological, Musculoskeletal, Fatigue and Well-being. We offer rehab, aiming to be fun, realistic and creative to lead to positive outcomes for your goals in life.
Helen Adams qualified from Birmingham University with a degree in Physiotherapy in 1997 and has combined Physio and alternative therapies to produce successful result within rehabilitation. She is a qualified Yoga Teacher with the British Wheel of Yoga.
Sheryl Thomas has a BSc (hons) degree in Exercise and Sports Sciences in 2005 from the University of Exeter. Before completing an MSc (pre-reg) in Physiotherapy at the University of Southampton and qualified in 2009.
They are both HCPC registered, members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and ACPIN.

Chronic Back Pain
I first met Helen in 2001-2 when after an MRI scan the specialist told me that at the age of 31 my chronic pain in my lower back was due to wear and tear. I spent a few weeks with her at Paignton Hospital where she showed me all the exercises I needed to help me manage the rest off my life. Nearly 20 years on and I am still doing most of those exercises every morning before I go to work. It has kept me moving ( I won't say supple... but far better than most 50 year olds), and I would say that without Helen's input all those years ago I wouldn't have been able to keep my active business going... I'm not saying that I don't still get pain, but it is far more controllable than what it would be without the exercises... Thank you very much Helen,
Vertigo
I recently experienced vertigo and my symptoms weren't improving with the advice I was given from my GP. Sheryl was quick to book me an appointment with Helen who gave me a thorough assessment, an accurate diagnosis and gave me a detailed treatment plan which I followed religiously and my symptoms improved within a few days. Without your diagnosis and exercises I would not have been able to complete my martial arts grading the week after seeing you! Thanks so much for all your help, you are amazing and I will forever be grateful for what you did. Keep up the good work! 😁
Brilliant service from an expert team delivering clear results!
Expert help being provided by Orchid Rehabilitation is making all the difference to my brother's recovery after suffering a severe stroke over two years ago. Under their patient encouragement and hard work he is building his strength working his weaker side and gaining obvious confidence each week with support from the Orchid team. Their knowledge, expertise, patience, thoughtful approach and teamwork has been invaluable throughout and already paying dividends in helping him stabilise his walking and balance.
