No longer trading as he has taken approx £20000 in deposits then you hear nothing from him. Others joining the queues reporting him to police Action fraud and trading standards. PLEASE FI NOT USE GEORGE SAGE FOR ANY WORK.

Takes your deposit. Then you hear no more. There are at least 8 others who have paid George over £15000 in deposits and he has no intention of doing the work. On each occasion he gets deposits from potential customers, who then hear nothing from him. Now reported to Trading Standards and Police Actionfraud. AVOID GEORGE SAGE FOR ANY WORK.

He took our deposit for bespoke oak front door and surround. What a joke! After 6 weeks, we heard nothing. Seems he's done the same to many others.(check out the poor reviews on various sites he advertises on!) GEORGE SAGE TO BE AVOIDED AT ALL COST! DO NOT TRUST.
Dishonest
We had George Sage visit us for a bespoke oak front door and surround back in Sept 2019. He gave us a reasonable quote and we paid a deposit. That was the last we heard from him for over 6 weeks. I then left a one star review which prompted an e-mail from him. He'd had illnesses, then the workshop roof had a leak, then his van had been broken into! He said he was confident that the door would be installed w/c 13th January 2020. Despite me e-mailing him every day that week asking when he'd be coming, we heard nothing from him. He does not answer his phone or e-mails. So I've asked for him to be removed from sites he advertises on as he is a cheat has no intention of doing any work. Many others have found themselves in the same situation as ourselves (paid deposit and then....nothing) How he can advertise in The Plymouth Herald I suppose he thinks if he can advertise in other areas, he'll get more innocent people to part with money. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

This person has scammed at least 8 other people. BEWARE! He gets deposits from prospective customers and then you never hear from him again. Check out other reviews left on the many sites he advertises himself on. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
Truly awful
George Sage quoted us for a bespoke oak front door and frame back in September 2019. Gave us a quote and we gave him a deposit of £1546. After 6 weeks of not hearing from him, I tried ringing him to ask how our door was progressing. He did not reply. Nor to my els. At end of November I left a one star review, then I received an e-mail saying he'd had illnesses, the workshop roof had a leak, and his van broken into. Assured me door would be installed w/c 13th January 2020. I e-mailed him every day that week to ask whether he'd be coming that day. Of course, I heard nothing from him. 2 weeks later I received another e-mail from him to say he'd got the glass order wrong. I asked if we could meet at his workshop to see how our door was progressing - again nothing heard from him. Since discovered from other reviews, he's done this to others. Taken deposits and then.....nothing. Rogue Trader. AVOID USING GEORGE SAGE for any work. Have now initiated legal proceedings to retrieve our deposit.

After a visit to us in September 2019 we received a quote from George Sage for a bespoke oak front door and frame, We paid a deposit to him, and then had to keep ringing him, as we didn't hear from him after 6 weeks. (Had to leave messages cause he doesn't answer his phone!) Also left e-mails to find out how door progressing. But no response from him. After I left a poor review on his website I suddenly heard from him - I got an e-mail from him saying he'd had illness, workshop roof had a leak and then his van broken into, but all should be ok for installing w/c 13th January 2020. Needless to say this didn't happen either! Apparently he'd ordered the glass wrong! Please don't use George Sage to do work. I'm one of quite a few other people he's also treated in the same way. He takes deposits, and then you don't hear from him again. BEWARE! Legal action has now been taken. I'd leave zero stars if possible.
