Family Owned Italian Restaurant Serving Authentic Freshly Prepared Dishes
We are an award winning family owned Italian restaurant located in Rogerstone, Newport. The restaurant is owned and managed by cousins Gianluca and Massimo who create authentic Italian dishes prepared with fresh local produce and ingredients they import from Italy. The restaurant is very popular with locals and those who travel from further afield to enjoy the Mamma Lina's experience. We offer a lunch and early evening menu, a la carte as well as a take out option.
The restaurant was named as the Best Family Owned Italian restaurant in Wales in 2019 and has been awarded the Certificate of Excellence by Trip Advisor for four consecutive years.
We welcome a live singer to the restaurant most Saturdays, have a cocktail bar upstairs, host childrens pizza making parties, offer unlimited prosecco and pizza and of course serve handmade metre long pizzas.

Another fabulous meal!
Eight of us ate here on Saturday evening and I could not fault any aspect of the food or service. We asked to change tables as the sun was shining in through the window and it was blinding the people on that side of the table. This was done easily and with no fuss. The food was all served together and it was absolutely delicious!
As always Mama Lina was the icing on the cake! So welcoming and she always adds an element of fun!
We always recommend this restaurant and we will be back!

Great food, lovely family run place. Can't fault it. Better than the mainstream Italian restaurants.
Great local and gluten free!
We love this place after trying it last summer, especially as they can cater for gluten free! Mamma lina's do the best gluten free pizza i've ever had and the first time I did have to check I had the right one! They also have options for gluten free pasta dishes and have a lovely gf lemon cheesecake on the dessert menu! The only useful thing would be to have the menu labelled which meals are gf/can be gf as we visited several times before I realised the cheesecake was gluten free and kept ordering ice cream instead.
Fantastic Restaurant
We've been to Mama Linas quite a few times and it has never failed to deliver on quality, value for money, great service and a warm, friendly atmosphere.
This weekend was no exception. I hosted a private surprise party for my husband's 50th birthday in the cocktail bar upstairs.
From the moment I booked it right up until the night, Gianluca was so helpful; nothing was too much trouble. His team produced the most amazing pizzas on the night and the bar staff were exceptional. ALL of our guests commented on how great the place is and how they are looking forward to having a meal there in the future.
