Being in our 70s, and my wife being disabled, we wanted to alter our garden to make it safer and more accessible, with less upkeep. The work which was carried out by Mr Geraghty was of an extremely poor standard, some now needing to be completely removed and replaced at great cost to us. Naively we paid upfront for materials which never materialised. Mr Geraghty and his workers gradually began to disappear off site for longer and longer periods, not being honest with us about what was happening, until, following help from Citizen's Advice we were forced to end the contract. Throughout, he refused to listen to our concern, refused arbitration and refused to respond to the County Court who issued a CCJ against him.
