How we can help you
Long term back or knee pain or a recent strain or sprain? Difficulty moving about? We will listen carefully to how your problem is affecting you and tailor an approach to suit your needs.
Online physiotherapy is effective for over 90% of musculoskeletal injuries and gives you speedy access to the physio treatment you need at a time and place convenient to you. Avoid long waiting times and let us help you back to all the activities you enjoy whether it's running a 10k, five-a-side football or pottering about in the garden.
Research shows that the right management of injuries early on helps you to recover quicker and stops problems from becoming bigger in the future. You will not be told you need a set amount of appointments to get better, and you will not be told that you need to rebook time and time again. Many people simply require a bit of guidance to help them on their way.
Home Visits during Covid-19
In line with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy guidelines we will operate on a "virtual first" basis. To assess if it is appropriate for a home visit, the initial contact will be by telephone or online, this can be with the assistance of a carer or relative. Following a risk assessment, we may be able to provide a home visit.
The patient and their carer or relatives may be required to wear face masks. The physiotherapist will use all the required PPE and disinfect any equipment used.
Low Back Pain
After years of repeated incidents of severe lower back pain, I was fortunate to see Amanda who, after a thorough appointment and examination, developed a tailored exercise plan with me. Within days I felt the benefits and now its part of my daily routine. I have not had back pain since. I can't recommend Physio In The Sticks enough. Thank you Amanda! Dave Jenkins
Knee Ligament and Cartilage Injury
I tore the cruciate ligament and cartilage in my knee and was seeing an orthopaedic consultant at hospital. When the Covid-19 lockdown started, I was advised that there wouldn't be any physio appointments and that I should Google knee strengthening exercises. I had been in a leg brace for 7 weeks and was in a lot of pain, I had no idea which exercises to do. I was worried that I was going to do more damage so I contacted Physio In The Sticks.
Amanda assessed me via telephone and devised a treatment plan with exercise videos - which was very helpful. She helped me understand how to work with my restricted range of movement and advised on knee strengthening exercises. Physio In The Sticks is a completely different way of doing things, but it is also a good way of doing things. I haven't had the trips to the hospital, no parking or trying to find someone to take me. I have received an outstanding, professional service and I definitely recommend Physio In The Sticks.
