Profile
The Centre for Education in Sustainability puts 15,000 children and 800 teachers through the conservation education program every year - continuing Joy and Georges work. The Lodge is a peaceful haven, full of wildlife, which has 10 rooms dotted about the 50 acre site and treats guests like old friends. Meals during the day are eaten outside on the lawn where you may be acccompanied by giraffe, zebra, antelope and the resident colobus monkeys and warthogs. In the evenings hippo come up and graze on the lawn under the watchful gaze of our askaris whilst zebra often come to graze and sleep. The lodge has a museum dedicated to Joy and George Adamson and there is also a Bird of Prey Centre housing rescued and injured birds.
