Alan is an expert in cleaning and restoring paintings, breathing new life into the finest artwork. His work reverses the accumulation of years of dirt, smoke and grime which make oil paintings become dark and details obscured or lost - 'it's as if you are viewing the painting through amber-brown tinted glasses', but once the work is complete, you're left with a true beauty once again.
Although the painting itself is important, the picture support receives the same amount of care and attention. Alan repairs and stabilises the support, whether it's wood panel, metal, paper, cardboard, composition board or canvas.

replaced lost moulding on the frame and brought it back to its original splendour. I am delighted with the

interesting background about the artist. The picture now glows as it hangs on the wall, and I am sure will
