Artist/Illustrator/Tutor. HND in Illustration. I mainly work in watercolour or pen and ink. Accepting commissions of varying subjects from landscapes to portraits of people or pets. Illustrations for books, covers and with editorial. Workshops are organized for Drawing and Watercolour in a series of 6 - 8 weeks in sessions of 2 and a half hours per week. Illustrations for The Climb by Denis Bestwick

Denis Bestwick, Pippet Publishing of Sevenoaks, approached me with a an idea of illustrating a book he was going to publish of short stories.Of course this was a lovely assignment. They are good, intriguing stories and I had to do quite a bit of internet research for some of them as there were specific references to certain places. This made it all the more interesting from my point of view, as I was discovering things that I had not had experience or knowledge of. His book should be ready, printed, published, and on sale at the end of June. Likewise a book by Jan Evans, Dernier Publishing, Tonbridge, "Mystery in the Snow", for which I did the cover illustration, is a story meant for young people of around 8 - 12 years old. A mystery solved by a small group of friends. This should be available this month too.

Studiomo

During the last series of sessions I demonstrated the new Atelier Interactive Acrylics, and we carried on with drawing and watercolour projects as well as individual inspirations.The next series will concentrate more on landscape and natural forms, if possible - weather permitting we will have the opportunity to work outside for those who would like to. There is no obligation to do this, the hall is booked for those prefering to stay inside. Refreshments will be on hand for a break whenever you would like it. Every artist is different and therefore the way of conceiving and executing a painting or an idea will be unique. Likewise the teaching of anything other than basic techniques, and colour understanding, will reflect this. I have undertaken illustrations in a representational way for many people. It can be portraits and designs for personal needs, i.e. wedding invitations or a painting from the wedding photographs, to an acrylic painting on canvas to commemorate a particular scene or a memorable

Professional Associate of the Society for All Artists, known as the SAA. Previously worked for the Kent County Council as a Tutor in Adult Education. Illustrations have been for Hodder and Stoughton, Macmillansis , Lyon, Reader's Digest New York, and various other publishers.
