Welcome to the Kumon Chingford Study Centre, which provides maths and English programmes for students of all ages and abilities. Our aims are not just to prepare children for passing an exam or catching up with schoolwork. We aim to nurture confident, independent learners who will be prepared to meet challenges in school and beyond.

Meet The Instructor

A former award-winning journalist, web developer and preschool drama teacher, Helene Anderson moved to London from New Zealand in 2001 and has been instructor of the Kumon centre in Chingford since 2004.
With three school-age daughters of her own, Helene has also been a school governor since 2008 and is commited to ensuring all children have the opportunity to fulfil their educational needs. She is passionate about all aspects of education and keeps fully informed on educational issues and standards in the UK and worldwide.
