About Us

Protech Systems has become firmly established as a specialist in the service, supply and installation of CCTV equipment. Based in South Devon, we are positioned conveniently for servicing the whole of the South West. We pride ourselves on our professional approach and high standard of equipment and installation.

In the fast-moving field of high technology, it is important that Protech Systems are able to offer solutions to clients with a wide range of varying requirements.

Our experience enables us to confidently cater for the small shop through to the larger industrial sites, from conception through design, supply, installation, and maintenance.

Analogue & Digital CCTV

Protech Systems supply and install high end digital and analogue camera systems. We have access to specialist camera's to suit individual customer requirements. Analogue systems record images to a DVR which record video onto hard disk drives and have the ability for Remote Monitoring over the internet. DVR's are supplied in a range of 4, 8 and 16 channels dependent on the amount of cameras required on the system. They have the ability of motion recording, time lapse recording and scheduled recording. Recordings onto the system can be viewed and downloaded onto memory stick or by the inbuilt CD writer. Digital systems record images to an NVR which is networked so images can be viewed in phone/tablet & PC where ever you may be.

Digital video recording times vary and are dependent on the size of hard drive storage and the amount of cameras on the system and whether the recording is set on motion or continuous recording.

Access Control and Door Entry Systems

Proximity fobs can be issued to allow free entry and exit on and off site for residents and staff.Their details will be entered onto the database within the controller thus authorising their fobs to open the barrier/door when the fob is offered to the reader. Their details will be uploaded from the office computer to the controller via the phone lines using a modem at each end. Customers can be added or deleted from the office.

Remote Monitoring

Being able to access cameras remotely via any smart device (Iphone, Android blackberry and laptop) is a very useful commodity.

All of our systems are viewable remotely and a demonstration of this will be provided upon the installation completion.

Thermal Imaging Cameras

Both cameras give operators the choice of displaying "white hot", "black hot" or "colour scale" along with the ability to display an on-screen temperature range gauge, which automatically scales from the coolest part of the image to the hottest.

"Thermal Imaging cameras such as the SCB-9050 and SCB-9051 detect the differences in the infrared energy of objects and their backgrounds. This energy is undetectable to the human eye as well as conventional surveillance cameras," said Peter Ainsworth, Senior Product Manager Europe for Samsung Techwin Europe Limited. "The SCB-9050 and SCB-9051 do not need any light to generate an image and only require a minimum temperature differential of 0.08°C to produce clear images".

Barrier Systems

We now install and maintain barrier systems, and have several large maintenance contracts pertaining to this field. We can supply anything from a simple one barrier entry/exit system to a complex multiple car park barrier/gate system which includes touch screen (credit/debit card) pay stations.
