Broaching
Broaching allows the speedy formation of internal splines and can be an economic alternative to shaping.
Broaching produces an accurate well finished form on runs of many thousands.
Broaching is also used extensively to produce keyway slots.
Helical Gear Suppliers
The teeth on helical gears are cut at an angle to the face of the gear this increases the strength of the teeth because of the elongated helical wrap around.
When two teeth on a helical gear system engage, the contact starts at one end of the tooth and gradually spreads as the gears rotate, until the two teeth are in full engagement.
This gradual engagement makes helical gears operate more smoothly and quietly than spur gears. For this reason, helical gears are commonly used in automotive transmissions.
