Open Days
We have an open day on the last Sunday of each month which is open to public as the 1940s Experience. The opening times for the Open Days are 10.30am - 4pm on the last Sunday of every month. Admission for the Open Days is £5 for adults and £3 for children and seniors. We also provide residential and day visits for school journeys.
Residential/Day Educational Visits at the Lincolnsfields Children's Centre
The Lincolnsfields Children's Centre is a registered children's charity providing opportunities for children, young people and adults with or without special needs. We provide catered and self-catering residential accommodation to enable groups, under adult supervision, to spend time away from their urban environment.
WW2/1940s House
The Lincolnsfields Children's Centre is located on what was originally the site of BUSHEY HALL - ww2lincolnsfieldschildrencentre picture the wartime location of the USAAF 8th Fighter Command Headquarters - a unique WW2 Heritage site.
We stage regular Historical Events within the grounds using the remaining twelve WW2 buildings.
Our 1940's house is open on the last Sunday
of every month January - November and the first two Sundays in December.

We also organise Educational Day visits with "hands-on" activities covering all aspects of the Nat.Curr.History Unit 9 at Key Stages 1/2 and centring on Children at War - The Evacuee's Experience, the Home Front, and Women in War.
