We are an independent, family owned funeral home, established in June 1912, which has been passed down through four generations.
Caring for your loved ones for over 110 years and located at the original premises, we are the longest serving funeral directors in the local area.

We are always at hand to provide help and advice to the bereaved and have many years of experience, enabling us to assist and guide you, with the utmost level of respect and compassion.

We can provide and arrange:
- A Private Chapel of Rest
- Arrangement of Churches, Cemeteries and Crematoriums
- Appointment of a Minister or Celebrant should you require one for your loved ones service
- We can organise Funeral Limousines, Floral Tributes, Newspaper Notices and Order of Service Booklets
Although based in Sheffield, our services are offered nationally if required.

Wonderful and Very Helpful
I recently lost my partner of 18 years. I initially spoke to Rebecca only a couple of days after of my partner's passing. Rebecca was wonderful and very helpful. I was unaware of the process that occurs prior to a funeral. This initially involved dealing with the hospital to providing me with advice on attending the registry office and what was required. Rebecca and Warrick provided guidance and support throughout every stage of preparation and everything was done wonderfully. The service I received from Rebecca and Warrick was very personal and I was also given a lot of support too. Nothing was too much trouble. The funeral service to celebrate my partner's life was lovely and very fitting, thanks to Rebecca and Warrick. Thank you so much for all your help and support. You made the worst time of my life, much more bearable.
Excellent Service

I just wanted to write a review as I have been blown away by the thoughtful and caring service we received by WJ Hoyland and Co Funeral Directors following the traumatic and unexpected death of my mother. Both Rebecca and Warrick were outstanding in every way. I have never been in the unfortunate position of arranging a funeral before and their caring and professional manner was just perfect. The experience and the service we received from start to finish was exceptional. We went from complete strangers to friends it felt like. I live in Devon, however if I could use them for every funeral of a loved one I most certainly would, without any hesitation! I highly recommend...
