About Us...

EGE Hall Opticians opened on High Street, Redcar in 1973. The company was established by the late Edward Hall as an Independent Opticians providing all aspects of professional eye care.

Our personal, high quality care was recognised by local people and the practice grew quickly. A second practice soon opened on High Street, Eston, just a few miles from Redcar.

In 2012 Adrian Hall, Director and son of Edward, decided to re-design both practices and invest in the latest technology available to further enhance our patient experience. The new practice design has given us the opportunity to dramatically increase the range of spectacles that we stock, and also expand on our comprehensive eye examination with our new top-notch equipment.

After over 40 years experience in the optical industry, we remain the independent opticians we've always been. We are a professional team dedicated to providing outstanding eye care and a unique personal service.

At Halls we have the latest high-tech equipment to ensure you experience a thorough and detailed eye test. We are the only independent practice in the area who have digital fundus camera and include it as part of our regular eye test package.

As well as offering an outstanding level of unique private eye care, we additionally have a contract with the NHS allowing us to provide NHS funded eye tests for patients who are entitled.

At Hall Opticians, we accept all types of NHS eye care vouchers. If you're entitled to NHS support you may be eligible for an NHS funded eye test, and also a voucher to help towards the cost of new glasses or contact lenses.

We have a wide range of contact lenses available, offering you a convenient alternative to glasses. You can view our daily and monthly range, including prices on-line.
