Hairdressing course 13-16 year olds

Alpha Hair Academy are pleased to offer a Hairdressing course specifically for 13-16 year olds.
Get a head start on your hairdressing career with a VRQ Level 2 (Vocationally Recognised Qualifications) in hairdressing.
This course is a two year course, suitable for students who are home educated and need an extra qualification or for students who are still in full time education at school and would like to attend 1 or more days a week.
You will learn how to consult with clients, wash and dry hair correctly, colour the hair professionally, learn salon reception skills, learn how to put hair up and plait the hair.
Alpha Hair will work one to one with you to ensure that you will gain the confidence and skills to enable you to becoming a qualified hair stylist.

Hairdressing course NVQ's

Alpha Hair Academy offer NVQ courses in hairdressing at Level 2 and Level 3.
Suitable for age 16 and
We are a City and Guilds Approved Centre and have been training students for 15 years.
On the NVQ courses you will learn how to cut hair, colour hair, consult with clients, put hair-up and plait, wash and dry the hair and will gain skills on salon reception.
Our lecturers are professional, fully qualified and offer one to one teaching and small group training.
Our Alpha Hair Salon is modern and airy and has all of the equipment you will need to helping you become a fully qualified hairdresser.

Maths and English

Alpha Hair Academy are pleased to offer Functional skills courses in Maths and English, Level 1 and Level 2.
City and Guilds Functional skills qualifications are well recognised and are very much needed as part of training on other courses.
Our lecturers will give you all of the support you need to passing your Maths and English in Functional Skills, giving you the head start you need in your chosen career.
Maths and English may not be your best subjects but with functional skills you will start to apply these subjects to every part of your daily life. The clue is in the name....they are functional and practical and will assist you with the skills you need in life in general.
