Profile
Set in open countryside but conveniently just 15 miles from the A1 (M) this tranquil site is both an ideal base for exploring the scenery and attractions of County Durham or as a pleasant stopover. The market town of Barnard Caste is a short walk from the site and is home to the renowned Bowes Museum as well as the 12th century castle after which it is named. The Club campsite is also very close to both the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty meaning there is plenty of choice for walkers and cyclists in tranquil surroundings while the cities of Durham, Middlesbrough, Sunderland and Newcastle are also within easy reach.
