ATTRACTIONS

WE ARE IN A VERY CENTRAL POSITION, IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO ALL TOWN CENTRE SHOPPING, BARS AND RESTAURANTS AND THE LOCAL AMENITIES. THE SWINDON TOWN FOOTBALL GROUND IS A 50 YARD WALK. IMMEDIATELY BEHIND THE GUEST HOUSE IS THE SWINDON COUNTY CRICKET GROUND, 50 YARDS FURTHER DOWN IS THE LOCAL BOWLING CLUB, AND A FEW YARDS BEYOND THAT IS THE LOCAL ATHLETICS TRACK, WITH THE STATE OF THE ART TARTAN RUNNING TRACK. THIS LIES ADJACENT TO A LARGE PARK AND PLAY AREA.

THE TOWN AND SURROUNDINGS.

SWINDON TOWN IS STEEPED IN TRADITION, AND SURROUNDED BY HISTORICAL LANDMARKS AND IS AN AREA WELL KNOWN FOR ITS CROP CIRCLES. WITHIN A FEW MILES ONE OF SEVERAL WHITES HORSES CAN BE FOUND, AS CAN THE ANCIENT STONES AT AVEBURY. FURTHER TO THE SOUTH OF SWINDON APPROX; 40 MILES, ONE CAN SEE THE STONES OF THE ENIGMATIC STONEHENGE, AN ABSOLUTE MUST FOR TRAVELLERS AND FOREIGN VISITORS.
HOWEVER TRAVELLING WEST APPROX; 30 MILES ONE CAN VISIT THE ANCIENT CITY OF BATH, WITH ITS MAGNIFICENT ARCHITECTURE, AND THE ANCIENT ROMAN BATHS. ALL THESE SITES AS WELL AS MANY MORE ARE WITHIN EASY REACH OF THE ANGELIQUE GUEST HOUSE.
