The Link is a fast developing community sports, event, conference and party venue based on the site of Sandbach School.

At The Link we have high quality sports and event facilities available for hire.

Swimming Pool Hire

At an impressive 25m x 12m, the 4 lane swimming pool is the ideal venue for competitive, training or leisure hire. Our superb swimming pool has also been newly complemented by an extensive changing room refurbishment. This includes the total re-working of both men’s and women’s changing facilities. The pool is also available to hire for events such as club practice, galas, lessons and group exercises. Lifeguards are provided as part of the hourly charge.

Bouncy Castle and Other Parties

We have a brand new bouncy castle and offer bouncy castle parties in our newly re-furbished sports hall.
Plus sports parties and active-kid parties too.

Dance and Drama Studios

The Link’s Dance and Drama Studios provide first class venues for dance troupes, exercise classes and children’s parties. With gran sprung area elastic flooring, air conditioning and blackout curtains the Drama Studio is the ideal space for rehearsals, performances and parties. The studio can be supplied with seating for up to 75 parents/audience and has full overhead gallery lighting and audio playback facilities, ideal for any type of performance. Our Dance Studio also has a fully sprung floor, mirrors, air conditioning and seating area for parents/audience. The studio is the perfect venue for any exercise classes as well as fun and rewarding dance sessions.

Sports Hall

The Link’s Sports Hall has been completely renovated to provide a first class sporting venue. Our new flooring is a Taraflex Sport M Evolution flooring, as used in the London Olympics and throughout the world for international tournaments. With a vast, flexible space this area is an ideal venue for hosting concerts, arts & crafts fayres and other productions.

Tennis Courts

The Link boasts 5 full size Tennis courts on concrete surface. Two of the courts are under floodlights and available for hire throughout evenings/winter. Courts can be hired by clubs or for individual one hour bookings.

Astroturf and other pitches

Also available are: a recently refurbished synthetic sand based Astro turf, outdoor cricket nets (5 bays), large grid area of grass to hire for other community functions eg. summer fairs, festivals and sports tournaments, 1 senior cricket pitch and 1 junior cricket pitch with option of the synthetic strip.

Weddings and Parties

At The Link we will soon be offering a party venue to suit any celebration. Whether clients are looking to host a birthday party, christening, wedding anniversary or full wedding breakfast, our venue will be a great choice.

With charming historical backdrops and extensive grounds to erect marquees, hold drinks receptions or take those important photographs, we can provide an elegant and charming combination of rustic authenticity and contemporary chic. Our beautiful function rooms can accommodate wedding parties for up to 100 guests, with various day and evening packages available.

About Us

As head teacher of Sandbach School I am very proud of our students and the standards that they attain. SIBOur boys develop and thrive to become confident young men in a calm and purposeful environment with wrap around care that allows each student to flourish as individuals.

The school motto 'Ut Severis Seges' meaning 'as you sow, so shall you reap' is exemplified by our students in so many different ways. Academically, year after year, they achieve high standards. For example, in mathematics this year's GCSE result of 85% A*-C is the best in Cheshire East and in English a result of 73% is 20% higher than the national average for boys.

However, I have always passionately believed in a holistic view of education which caters for the whole student and gives them the opportunity to develop their talents and passions. The extent of the opportunities available for students at Sandbach School astounded me when I first arrived at the school! Weekend sport and activities is unrivalled within Cheshire East. It wouldn't be possible without the dedication of our staff that so often go 'the extra mile' in support of students.
