Compton House. A Charming Country House Hotel

Compton House dates back to medieval times and was the family home of Christopher Fry, the playwright. Today it is run as a privately owned small hotel owned by Patricia and Robert Tallack who have taken great care to retain the historic charm and personality of this elegant Georgian house.

Compton House. Intimate and Informal

There is no formal restaurant at Compton House but Patricia upon request will cook dinner privately for guests using seasonal local produce and herbs from her garden. Guests can dine in the elegantly paneled dining room or outside on the terrace if weather permits. Drinks can be served from the Butler's Pantry and there is a comprehensive wine list to choose from.

Compton House. Perfect for Weddings and House Parties

Compton House is the perfect location for intimate and bespoke wedding ceremonies and receptions either in the house or in a hired marquee on the lawn.

Compton House may also be hired for House Parties and family celebrations with all catering provided in house.
