AKT Consulting Engineers Limited was established in 1997 incorporating David T Emanuel Consulting Civil and Highway Engineers to meet the needs of clients requiring consultants with specialist skills and knowledge in civil and structural engineering. In addition to the services normally offered by Consulting Civil and Structural Engineers we have over recent years gained considerable experience in a number of specialist fields. We undertake Domestic Energy Performance Certificates and the provision of Home Condition Surveys for Purchasers in East Anglia.

I am David T Emanuel married to Angela with two grown up children and one young grandson and a new granddaughter. I have lived in Felixstowe since 1982 when I moved from Somerset with Dobbie and Partners (now known as Jacobs).

I worked on the Ipswich bypass and then the first phase of the Great Yarmouth Bypass. I then joined Richard Jackson Partnership in Hadleigh where I became an Associate. In 1992 I set up by own Consultancy Practice David T Emanuel Consulting Engineers. I have also worked for Loss Adjusters Ellis & Buckle (now known as Cunningham Lindsey) where I was in charge of the Ipswich Building Team. In 1997 I set up AKT Consulting Engineers Ltd incorporating David T Emanuel Consulting Engineers and in November 2009 we moved to our present office in Hamilton Road Felixstowe.

We also carry out surveys for domestic buyers such as the SAVA Home Condition Survey and structural surveys.
We can undertake structural design and can advise on home insurance claims. We also undertake domestic EPC's and complete building surveys and produce the results on CAD drawings. We can also provide Green Deal Assessments.
