If you're looking to hire an Ice Cream Van for your event or for any other reason then Piccadilly Whip are here to help you. We've been operating our fleet of Ice Cream vans for over 50 years throughout London and the South-East of England.

Our History

We are a family run business which was established over 40 years ago, (1963). The business was started with one ice-cream van bought for £30.00. My nan who is Spanish helped to paint, clean and renovate this van until it was roadworthy to enable my Uncles Eddie and Billy to earn a living, selling ice-cream from it.

Next year, they bought another van and called the company Piccadilly Bar. It wasn't until later when they started buying soft vans that the company changed names to Piccadilly Whip, to incorporate the Whipped Ice-Cream.

Our Ice Cream Vans

I was born in 1963 and from the age of 11, I have sold ice-cream either from a van, or from an ice-cream barrow. My uncles had pitches all over London including Regents Park, Hyde Park, Houses of Parliament, and Madam Tussauds. Today we only have ice-cream vans, and do most major shows around the country.

My uncles have now retired and I run the business with the help of my family and staff. Our vans are the best in the country, they are all Whitby Morrison Built and we now have 11, none of which are over 5 years old. They are all identical and most of them are nearly new, as we buy new vans every year, and sell off the older ones.

Certification and Standards

We have licences in London and are registered with our Local Council. We have all relevant Health and Hygiene certificates as well as £10M Public Liability.

We are also registered members of MOCA (Mobile and Outside Caterers Association), and The Ice Cream Alliance.

We're ISO 9001 Certified and all our vans are suitable to work indoors or outdoors – come rain or shine.
