It's a while since we had the misfortune of employing Fountainbridge Windows but we discovered yet another fault this weekend. The removable plug on the sash and case window had been screwed in, requiring a lot of wresting to open the window. This follows on from bringing the wrong windows on the first day, leaving us with hardboard covering the removed windows for a couple of days. Then there were misaligned window catches, and a really poor fit on double glazed sash windows that meant there was a noticeable draft coming through that took a lot of fixing to get rid of after they'd left. They also damaged other things in the flat : ripping out a light fitting with a ladder and then just leaving a bare wire dangling for us to find that evening, ripping out the phone landline wire apparently because they "didn't know it was important". And it took them three weeks to do a job they said would take four days. Truly appalling in both service standards and workmanship.
