The Shrewsbury Flower Show has ran for over 100 years, organised and held by the Shropshire Horticultural Society. The Society itself is a registered charity dedicated to providing grants in support of many different organisations and activities in Shropshire, with a range of donations to the local community since it was established.

The Flower Show of today is a huge spectacle, featuring TV personalities, celebrities, singers and other arena acts for 12 hours each day, ending with a huge firework display to mark the end of another year.

With a small permanent staff and over 100 volunteers, every aspect of the flower show is organised and managed from catering and public safety to specialist judges and ensuring a fantastic experience.

A number of different competitive and non-competitive exhibitions are on display, from the Outside Show Gardens and Quarry Marquee to the Severn Marquee which holds Bees & Honey exhibitions and the Dingle Marquee's Floral Art Exhibitors.

The main Quarry Marquee is non-competitive, playing host to some of the top horticulturists in the country. The standards are always very high, with 50 exhibitors vying the top awards.

The Severn Marquee on the other hand is highly competitive, particularly amongst the amateur growers who provide stunning displays. With Bees & Honey exhibitions also present, this marquee is home to a variety of different arrangements and flowers.

For the popular Floral Art Exhibitors, new photographic competition and other displays, the Dingle Marquee is always popular.

Other more recent additions include the lecture theatre and 'Our Future Marquee', which is designed to provide educational information for younger visitors to the show.

The Shrewsbury Flower Show is a great day out for the entire family, whether you're looking to take part in the exhibitions or simply want to visit. With educational information readily available, it can also be an informative day for younger visitors and adults alike.
