Beautiful golf course and bar with function rooms.
Established in 1990, Wergs Golf Club has been run by the Moseley family for two generations. Started by Clifford Moseley, after whom our Clifford Suite is named, the Club is now run by his son Monty.
Our well-stocked pro shop has everything you need for your day's golf. Our course is easy to follow and includes some breathtaking scenery. We are lucky enough to have the river Penk as part of the landscape. Happy to help, we offer expert advice and guidance as well as a range of courses to suit all abilities
If relaxing is more on your agenda, our welcoming sports lounge with a fully licenced bar, roaring log fire and baby change facilities offers a variety of lite bites, hearty meals and fresh coffee to please the whole family.
The Wergs team is also very proud to announce the opening of Restaurant Nineteen, opening Thursday 16th February, where you can enjoy a sophisticated table service dining experience, and be tempted by our new dishes including homemade starters and deserts that are sure to make your mouths water.
Our teaching professional Shaun Ball, who has more than 20 years' experience, is happy to help golfers of all levels. Our pro shop is run by Julie Robbins and our Events Team includes Amanda Crew and Adrian Bambrough who is also the Bar Manager.
At Wergs, we take our environmental impact seriously, and our entire lighting provision is covered by our 15kW photovoltaic solar panelling system. Our waterways also provide a valuable home for wildlife, including Canada geese, herons and an array of friendly ducks - all of which makes for a thoroughly invigorating experience away from the daily grind.

50th Anniversary
"We had a 50th anniversary party this September and we couldn't of picked a better venue. The staff are so accommodating, friendly, helpful and nothing is too much to ask. They go above and beyond to help with flowers, food, room arrangements and all the little details. The food was top and we all had a brilliant night. Defiantly would recommend and a big thanks to all the staff involved xx"
