Profile
Lake District National Park
Cock´s Close, Garnett Bridge, is a small development of a Farmhouse, 3 Scandinavian chalets and a converted Watermill, discreetly situated amidst 24 acres of secluded hill land in the unspoilt Longsleddale Valley, offering a relaxed away from it all atmosphere in an undiscovered valley within the Lake District National Park. A half mile of private river runs through the grounds where trout fishing can be enjoyed in season.
The Local Area
Although the valley is very secluded and offers the opportunity to get away from it all, Kendal can be reached by car in only 10 minutes. this is our nearest shopping centre and is a thriving market town steeped in history.
The valley itself is very peaceful and offers spectacular scenery - hill walking on Banninsdale and potter Fell, and no holiday would be complete without the gentle walk to the valley top (Sadgill). For the more energetic, a walk over the top brings you to Haweswater, to the famous submerged village of Mardale which could be seen by visitors during the droughts of 1984 and 1995.
Filmore and Union is a Delicatessen and Cafe located in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
