About Us

Arc has been in the Document Management Industry for over 25 years, starting in the microfilm days. Over the last 20 years document management has changed. Originally microfilm was the answer, using roll film systems for closed archives, and jacket systems for live accounts. This gradually changed with the introduction of scanners and tiff files. Initial systems were basic and not always reliable. Scanned images however soon replaced microfilm images. Recently we have converted film to digital documents for clients. Over the years we have amassed a wealth of experience and knowledge in document management issues. We have been responsible for the successful conversions of millions of documents into electronic formats, and supplied very successful in-house solutions.

Bureau Scanning Services

Arc specialises in the efficient conversion of hard copy information into digital form. Many clients have used our services to clear archives and free up office space. Sometimes this is a one off project, or it may be a regular service if more paper documents are being produced. Typically 20,000 A4 sheets of paper (approximately 20 four drawer cabinets) can be scanned and stored on just one Gigabyte of computer storage, thus freeing up office space and making any document accessible in seconds.

Software Solutions

We supply the "best of breed" systems and software to our clients. We are not tied to our own produced products and are therefore able to offer the best tried and tested solutions from the top software houses. Do you have MS Office files on a server, emails in Outlook, and cabinets full of paper files, all pertaining to one account? You need our Contents Management Software with full audit control to mitigate risk of losing contractual information. All files fully indexed and stored under one reference number. Eliminate the printing out of emails.

Clients

We have worked with clients in the following types of industry, commercial companies with archives of data and current information they require to store and share. Personnel departments, with files on leavers, purchase ledger departments with purchase invoices and delivery notes to store, engineering and construction companies, with large format drawings and reports. Housing Associations with house and tenant files and hospitals with medical and building files. DBFO tenders, with files to be distributed to potential bidders, manufacturing plants with quality control files etc. Government departments setting up data rooms, major local authorities with backlogs of scanning in most departments, scanning of photographs for recording building processes and historical purposes.
