HELPING OTHERS TO PICK UP THE PIECES

The Wood family, were travelling by car, that was towing a caravan on the way to a family circle reunion, when they ran into a flood. The caravan broke from the tow hitch and within minutes, the car was submerged. Mr Wood senior died a few years later. Out of that tragedy retired Nurse Rachel and her son John, launched Ambless Supportline, a National Helpline, offering care and support across the United Kingdom and Ireland. These Helplines, give those an opportunity to talk to someone sympathetic and are a real lifeline to many. Those effected physically or psychologically, are encouraged to open up and talk through their concerns, worries and troubles. ''If you save one life, it's as if you saved the whole Universe.''
