About Us

Welcome to The Coliseum Theatre – a unique 1930’s art deco 650 seat theatre nestling in the suburbs of Aberdare. A busy venue bursting with an energetic programme of drama, comedy, opera, ballet, music, cinema, children’s, school, and community events, it celebrates its 70th birthday this year!

Services

An event that is included in The Early Bird promotion gives you a limited time to buy tickets for that event at a much-reduced price. (Tickets must be paid for at time of booking – no reserves, and cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount). The next Early Bird period runs until 8.30pm on Wednesday 8 February. The following events from this spring season have an early bird running on them.

Booking Information

Monday – Friday: 11.00am - 4.45pm - when there is an evening performance the Box Office will stay open untill 15 minutes after the start of the performance/film. Saturday: 4.00pm - 6.30pm - When there is a daytime performance the Box Office will open 30 minutes before the advertised start time. By telephone on 08000 147 111 during the Box Office opening times listed above. An answer machine is in operation when the Box Office is closed, please leave a message and a member of staff will contact you as soon as possible. Don’t forget - One call does it all! Book all your Cultural Services events with one call to any of the 3 venues. Reservations for LIVE events. Your tickets can be reserved for 7 days, after which, if no payment has been received, they will go back on sale. (This deadline does not apply to group bookings).
