About Us

We warmly welcome your application for a place in the Sixth Form at Hounslow Manor School. Our Sixth Form is a friendly and inclusive one, catering for the individual needs of each learner. We are a rapidly expanding post-16 provider, having seen a rise in the numbers of A level students in particular of around 50% over the past two years.

Governors have requested that I inform you that the Governing Body have made the decision for Hounslow Manor to become an Academy School with LAET (London Academies Enterprise Trust) and this decision has been supported by the Local Authority. You will be aware that a significant number of schools across London have already taken this step and this is considered to be an appropriate way forward for our school. We are delighted with the opportunities which working with LAET as our sponsor will bring and who with us will best serve the interest of the whole school community; students, parents, staff and our local community. We remain committed to providing your child with the best possible education, to raising achievement, being inclusive and being at the heart of the community. We will continue to keep you informed on this matter.

About Us

A fantastic set of results for Hounslow Manor, 49% achieved 5 or more GCSEs including English and maths. This is an increase of 5% on last year's results. Given the drop in results nationally, this is a stunning outcome. Our students have achieved excellent results, many exceeding their targets. We are especially delighted at the increase in GCSE A* and A grades in many subjects and in the number of Distinctions in our Vocational courses. We are equally pleased and proud of the successes of a significant number of students who have succeeded despite experiencing serious challenging circumstances. I am delighted that the efforts and determination of students and staff have resulted in such a positive outcome.

We are a rapidly expanding post-16 provider, having seen a rise in the numbers of A level students in particular of around 50% over the past two years.

Admissions

Priority will first be given to First Preference applicants who have, or have had, an older brother or sister attending. Priority will then be given to First Preference applicants whose medical or social circumstances require attendance at a particular school. In such cases parents are reminded that they must complete the appropriate section on the application form and professional advice will be sought. If sufficient vacancies are available for all the remaining First Preference applications, priority will then be given to those children who live nearest to the preferred school. The distance is measured by the use of public highways excluding footpaths and common land. Accessibility of private or public transport will not be considered. If vacancies remain available after all First Preference applicants have been allocated, Second Preference applicants whose First Preference application for another school has been unsuccessful will be considered in the same order as 1, 2, and 3 above.
