About Us
Brooke Ceramics is the UK's largest independent tile and bathroom store based in Hull, East Yorkshire. Our mission is to make beautiful tiles and bathrooms affordable by bringing the latest fashions at the best prices directly to our customers.
The family business is now into its third generation having grown from an ironmongery store opened by Ernest Brooke way back in 1925. As the business prospered, Ernest opened more stores before the Second World War during which one was bombed and destroyed.
Following the war, Ernest's son Reg returned from the Merchant Navy and continued to expand the business. Reg's son Geof joined the business in 1981 and made a bold decision to shift from general hardware to tiles and bathrooms.
Building on his grandfather's legacy, Geof began Brooke Ceramics in 1988 and opened the showroom in 1993. Following an extension in 2005, the Hull showroom became the UK's largest and now houses over 100 fully tiled bathroom displays.
The trends and prices may have changed since Ernest's day but the ideas are the same; stock what customers want at affordable prices while serving them with a smile.

Great Range
All my lovely wife wanted was a replacement for our stainless steel sink. An easy quick job for me as I enjoy DIY. We called in to Brooke Ceramics for a "little look" and then BOOM! Walls tiled, including a brick effect feature wall and lovely black sparkle floor tiles. This little task took me a couple of months as my only day to work on it were Sundays with work commitments. I am a panel beater by trade, still on my tools at 63 years of age, but really enjoy DIY. I think I made a pretty decent job, but the main thing is, my wife loves it. Many thanks to Brooke Ceramics for a great range of tiles.

I purchased my tiles from Brooke Ceramics. The staff help and knowledge was essential in my purchase. The tiles I purchased were of excellent quality and the huge range of tiles to choose from was brilliant. A one-stop shop and the only place you need to visit.
Very Helpful
We found the staff at Brooke Ceramics very helpful, and gave us advice as to which tiles would be suitable for a hallway. We chose the Maryland tiles and my husband found them easy to lay. We are very pleased with the outcome.
Good Service
We think our garage is a definite improvement and would like to thank members of your staff Claire and Ken for helping us with their good service. Claire with putting us right on the correct cement and grout and Ken for drilling a hole whilst I waited which saved us a day.
Excellent Service
As a local company with a good reputation, Brooke Ceramics was my first destination when looking to refurbish my bathroom. When buying my tiles, I received 40% off my bathroom so even after shopping around Brooke Ceramics was still the best deal by far. I only have a small bathroom but the Nimes Grey tiles reflect the light making the room look more spacious and together with my new suite and taps, I now have a gorgeous contemporary bathroom. The staff are super helpful and know their stuff, the showroom is child friendly and overall I received excellent service from start to finish.

We had fantastic customer service from Brooke Ceramics when we purchased the tiles in store. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable. Our tiles were delivered on time and there was no issue with the products. I would recommend Brooke Ceramics to anybody requiring tiles or bathroom furniture.
Amazingly Helpful
