Profile
The oldest pub in Woodbridge, Ye Olde Bell & Steelyard is a distinctive 16th century inn serving up excellent ales and traditional English fayre. With one of the two remaining steelyards in England - the word derives from the German for a weighbridge, used to ensure that wagon weights of barley and rye did not exceed 3 tonnes - the pub has won the Cask Marque award. The extensive menu of home-cooked dishes includes a taste of Anglia in the shape of steaks, casseroles, lamb chops, local sausages, fish pie, vegetarian dishes and much more.
