Bright & Beautiful - About Us

Rachel Ray was inspired to set up Bright & Beautiful when she spotted a real gap in the market for an ethical, professional and eco-friendly homecare business, designed for busy people.

Having spent 15 years working in London and Australia as a Chartered Accountant and Business Consultant, managing over 60 people, Rachel took a career break to have her two children. When the time came to return to work she decided to escape the corporate world and strike out on her own. After some months researching various business opportunities, Rachel decided that domestic homecare services – cleaning, ironing and household management - would give her the challenging and interesting opportunities she craved. This would also enable her to fit work around her children and family.

Rachel’s business model is based around a franchise system that trains women across the UK to manage a team of professional housekeepers, delivering a high quality service for clients. Rachel explains: “The domestic cleaning industry is a bit of a grey area in the UK, in that it is largely unregulated; workers don’t receive holiday or maternity pay and there is very little quality control. What I found is that there are a growing number of busy people who want a professional team taking care of their home. Our name – Bright & Beautiful – really says it all.”

Our first Franchise Territory was Altrincham & Hale which is owned and operated by Faye McDonough. Each Franchise owner is carefully selected and trained to ensure that the same meticulous standards and strict security procedures are followed in every territory.
