The Ridge Doctor uses a flexible pointing compound called RidgePoint which is designed to flex with the roof structures, it is specifically formulated for the European climate as we found that other products from hotter climates just could not cope with the colder conditions.

RidgePoint was first developed some 10 years ago to address the problem of cracking ridge pointing, when a ridge is pointed in a traditional way with sand and cement or lime it will crack over a short period of time due to weathering and constant roof structure movements, this requires constant maintenance. Most insurance companies don't consider a roof claim if the ridge capping is not professionally maintained. RidgePoint is pre-mixed, pre-coloured and has a range of additives including adhesives which increases the bond strength compared to traditional sand and cement or lime mortar.

The main quality is its ability to flex with the roof movement eliminating cracking and removing the need for costly maintenance. The application of RidgePoint is the same as traditional methods making it easy to apply for experienced roofer's. RidgePoint should always be applied to the ridge system when considering having your roof painted or re-surfaced. The Ridge Doctor can now offer a unique solar panel cleaning service. This was developed by request from our many customers that have solar panels but couldn't find anyone to clean the panels properly.
