Specialising in Shakespeare, and using non-theatre venues for our performances, our fresh and inventive approach places the audience right at the heart of the action.

From open-air performances to school workshops, from one-off events to Saturday drama clubs, GSC aspires to re-ignite the passion for live theatre, re-telling these wonderful, world-famous stories with relish, verve and an infectious sense of fun…and never dumbing down.

Guildford Shakespeare Company is a professional site-specific theatre company, specialising in Shakespeare. Our approach places the audience right at the heart of the action, immersing them in the world of the play, thereby demystifying the legend that Shakespeare is for an elite, educated few but rather is immediate and accessible to everyone.

Our Team

Guildford Shakespeare Company are an award-winning theatre company based in Guildford, Surrey, specialising in site-specific theatre. Over the last 8 years we have produced 20 ‘main season’ productions, seen by over 40,000 people. We are now in the position to begin expanding our education and outreach provision.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable person to play a key role shaping the future of GSC’s education and outreach potential, both within schools and our current in-house drama clubs and projects. Your role will include organising, programming and facilitating our existing in-house drama class provision, as well as developing new classes.
