If you like antiques and curios; if you’re looking for decorative items for your home or as delightful original gifts, you’ll love Cheadle Hulme Auctions - a small and friendly auction house that’s an absolute treasure-trove of affordable memorabilia, collectables, curios, jewellery, toys, clocks and small furniture.
With over 25 years’ experience in antiques, we usually hold auctions on the second and fourth Wednesday evening of each month – and having been running for over 25 years (under a different name), we’ve built up a trusted and much valued clientele.
If you’ve never been to an auction but have always wanted to go, just come along and you’ll be made very welcome! What’s more, we’ll be delighted to explain the auction process to you, so that you can take part, enjoy the experience – and pick up some delightful collectibles!

Viewings

All fortnightly Fortnightly Chattel Auction sales can be viewed on the Friday prior to the date of sale, between 2.30-4.30pm and on the morning of the sale from 9.15am

All specialist sales (in bold) can be viewed on the day before the sale (Monday) between 10.00am-4.00pm and on the morning of the sale from 9.300am.

Buying

The decision to buy will usually follow the inspection of the goods, either on-line through this site, www.the-saleroom.com or ukauctioneers.com, where condition reports and further images can be requested via email, or through attending the saleroom during the pre-sale viewing.

Selling

Capes Dunn have provided a complete Auction and Valuation service since 1826.

We sell goods through our fortnightly general sales as well as approximately thirty specialist sales, which run through the year, please click on ‘auctions’ for further details. Free inspection and guidance to clients is always available, and we can accept goods for our specialist sales up to four weeks before the date of sale. Our sales are advertised in national, trade and local publications as well as on the Internet.

Clients who have goods for auction usually require pre-sale advice and valuations. This can be undertaken by a number of methods.
