What is First Class Learning?

First Class Learning (FCL) is a strong, flexible and dynamic learning system that focuses on the key maths and English learning outcomes for the National Curriculum for England and Wales and the Curriculum for Excellence in Scotland. More than just private tuition, our maths and English tuition programmes help to form good study habits, increase confidence and develop self esteem.

Maths Tuition

The First Class Learning Maths programme is designed to equip your child with the fundamental skills required for success in school Mathematics. Using a range of resources, your local FCL maths tutor covers all the essential areas of the school curriculum.

English Tuition

The First Class Learning English Programme draws on a variety of imaginative materials. From synthetic phonics to skills for secondary pupils, it follows principles which make it ideal for all learners. The programme takes a multisensory approach, enabling all children - whatever their learning style or ability - to develop the key skills which will allow them to read fluently, spell accurately and write confidently.

Enrol Your Child

Enrolling your child could not be easier. Once you have made an appointment with your local FCL Centre you can enrol for maths, English or Science tuition or all three of them. For an informal chat with your nearest FCL centre manager simply enter your postcode in the "Find your nearest centre" box and find your local centre.

The Morden First Class Learning Centre is run by Mrs Ummul Khan BSc, BLISc, MSc. in Morden Library.

Ummul has worked with primary and secondary school children and assisted them in improving their literacy and numeracy skills. She is fully trained and qualified to deliver the First Class Learning study programme.

Every First Class Learning tutor holds an enhanced DBS certificate (CRB).

FIRST CLASS LEARNING MORDEN STUDY CENTRE - SM4

First Class Learning Materials are designed in the UK to meet the outcomes of the curricula followed by UK schools. This makes the work directly relevant to pupils and is the reason that First Class Learning materials are increasingly being used in schools.

Students of all ages attend our study centre at Morden Library in SM4. We cater for learners from Early Years and primary through to GCSE and adult students.

Our expert tutors support your child's learning in Maths, English and Science or all the three subjects together in order to help with their school studies, build confidence and develop independent learning skills.

All Our programmes are tailored to learners' individual needs so students move on only when they are confident with a topic. At First Class Learning we believe in 1% steps to 100% success.

It promotes independent learning and study skills, so that your child gains the confidence to tackle new concepts.

The First Class Learning Centre (FCL) Tutor will complete a free assessment which will determine your child's curriculum level and the features of FCL will be explained with any questions answered.

If all parties agree that FCL is right for you, your child can start attending classes and gaining the benefits of FCL study which involves regularly attendance at the centre.

Here they will complete a short piece of work which will be marked, returned and discussed with the Tutor. Your child will be given a detailed programme of homework to be completed before the next class.

You will then be able to find out how your child can become one of the growing number in the UK enjoying success with First Class Learning.
