About Us...

Ryan Beach MRICS, BA(Hons) FAV, FAV Dip, RJ Dip, started his career at Phillips Auctioneers in 1995 after successfully completing a Fine Arts Valuation Diploma, Retail Jewellers Diploma and a Fine Arts Valuation Degree at Southampton.

With the closure of the Phillips regional network and particularly the Cardiff saleroom Ryan took the plunge and established Anthemion Auctions in the March of 2000. We acquired our present premises in 2005, offering us an auction house twice the size of the previous venue with easier access from the M4 on the main arterial road into the centre of Cardiff.

Since opening we have held in excess of 200 auctions offering more than 100,000 individual lots. We have been fortunate to advise thousands of clients on the valuation of Antiques and Fine Arts, Sporting Memorabilia and Collectors items. Anthemion Auctions is the only professionally qualified International Fine Art Auctioneers with an auction house in Cardiff, South Wales, established in February 2000.

Our Principal Ryan Beach is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors; having achieved a Fine Art Valuation Degree and Retail Jewellers Diploma and has over twenty years of auction experience. We have an extensive auction programme including monthly general sales, three fine sales and two sporting memorabilia and collectors’ sales.

Anthemion Auctions operate a free valuation service to our clients for auction sale purposes. Members of the public always receive a warm welcome and we are pleased to offer a verbal opinion on the history and current market value of their chattels.
Alternatively photographs of your objects can be sent to anthemions@aol.com for appraisal.

We produce catalogues for all of our auctions, with the Fine sales, Collectors sales and Sporting Memorabilia sales being extensively illustrated, these can be viewed on this and other websites. Our database of buyers and sellers come from all around the world and we pride ourselves on providing a professional service to all of our clients.

Home visits can be arranged for full house contents where items cannot be brought to the saleroom for valuation.

Anthemion Auctions provide a prompt and professional service to legal professionals, executors and beneficiaries of deceased estates.

Anthemion Auctions can provide you with a valuation for Insurance purposes. It is extremely important that your treasured possessions are adequately insured against loss or theft. A bespoke Insurance valuation from Anthemion Auctions will contain a full description of your objects with an accompanying photograph to record your possessions accurately in the unfortunate situation of having to make a claim.
