The Crown hotel is centrally situated in probably the most picturesque village in Dumfries and Galloway. The Crown sits a few yards from the waters edge overlooking Portpatrick’s historic harbour. Many of our rooms offer a seaview, and on a clear day you can see Belfast Lough and the Mountains of Mourne across the Irish Sea.

The Crown Hotel

The Crown Hotel is centrally situated in one of the most picturesque villages in South-West Scotland, and only a few yards from the waters edge. The hotel looks out over the harbour entrance, and on a clear day you can see ireland which is only 19 miles across the irish channel. Stranraer is only seven miles away and there are several ferry crossings that take you to Northern Ireland from here.

At the Crown Hotel we pride ourselves on our long-standing reputation for good food and wine. We are renowned for our seafood dishes, which we try to source locally as much as we can.

Accommodation

We offer accommodation of twelve en-suite rooms (many with sea-views). We can offer bed and breakfast or short break packages including dinner, bed and breakfast.

Whether its a weekend break or a mid-week special we are sure you will enjoy the comfortable rooms and the attentive service not to mention the hearty full scottish breakfast.

We have a large conservatory restaurant and a welcoming lounge bar that offers an extensive food menu.
