We believe that through *faith in the work of Jesus' death and resurrection we may be reconciled to God through God's grace and **forgiveness and have eternal life. If you wish to know more or ask questions about this statement, please contact one of us.
This faith impinges on worship, daily and community activities. Many of these have developed over time from the varied origins and circumstances of each church. It also leads us to pray.

The Huddersfield circuit is part of the worldwide Methodist church. This is a new circuit from September 2013, comprising 30 churches formed from the former Huddersfield and Holmfirth circuits. The oldest Methodist church in the circuit is found at Shelley. It opened on Whit Sunday, 1785.

To the Methodist Church in Huddersfield. We are a group of Christians and part of a world-wide Methodist Church, worshipping God and loving and serving our neighbour. Believing that we all have God-given gifts we seek to help each other develop these to the benefit of church and wider community.

You can find a variety of styles of worship in our churches with hymns, songs, prayers, stories and sermons honouring God. Activities for children with music, fun and teaching appropriate to their ages. Also brownies, youth clubs, camping or craft!

The Church raises funds for desperate situations. It also gets involved with people of all conditions. There's something for everyone at our churches, from Bells to Banners and Model Aircraft to music.
