Optical Fibre

Fibre provides extremely reliable data transmission and is completely immune to many environmental factors that affect copper cable. The core is made of glass, which is an insulator, so no electric current can flow through. It’s immune to electrometric and radio-frequency interference, crosstalk, impedance problems, and more. Fibre cable can be installed next to industrial equipment without worry.
With the added benefits of greater bandwidth than copper, fibre can carry more information with greater fidelity than traditional copper wiring. The signalling method is light, meaning that very little signal loss occurs during transmission, and data can move at higher speeds and greater distances. Fibre does not have the 90 meter distance limitation of unshielded twisted pair copper.
