ABOUT Heather Knight

Since her England debut at the age of 18, Heather has been hailed by many as one of 'rising stars' of Women's cricket. Since her One Day International debut in 2010, she has gone on to make 1000 runs in 44 matches (average of 30.00). She has also taken
8 wickets with best bowling figures of 3/28.

In 2013, Heather played a vital part in England Women's team who won the Ashes, making 157 runs. This team then went on to win the Sports Women 'Team of the Year' award. And in October 2014, Heather became the first women to play overseas,
for Tasmanian Roar in Australia.

As England women's new vice-captain, Heather dominated the 2013 Women's Ashes to be named player of the series; her magnificent 157 in the Test match at Wormsley was the stand-out innings of the seven-match multi-format series. Primarily an accomplished top-order batsman, last summer also saw her make a significant impact with the ball, having converted to bowling off-spin as the result of a serious hamstring injury at the end of the 2013 Women's Ashes. She took career-best ODI figures of 4 for 47 and T20I figures of 3 for 10 against New Zealand at the start of 2015.

The 24 year old is a right-handed Batswoman and a right arm medium pace bowler. She is a fan of social media and currently enjoys 7,691 followers on Twitter and nearly 10,000 followers on SportLobster.
