Founded by Fred Story In 1987, Story Homes has a long and successful reputation of building high quality and high specification homes.

The family owned business has grown in size and status over the years thanks to the passion and commitment from each and every colleague. We take pride in every aspect of our work and customer feedback confirms that a Story Home is a fantastic home to own.

Story Construction was founded by Fred Story in 1987. The business incorporated what is now Story Homes and Story Contracting. Right at the start, Fred had just three colleagues working with him on a variety of projects in and around Carlisle.

Story Homes is privately owned with the majority shareholder and Chairman of the Board, Fred Story, closely involved in acquisitions. This means you can expect fast and flexible decision-making, maximum value and overall an honest and straight-forward approach. Aligned to this is the company's strong financial position and desire to grow. We are always seeking new sites, land for sale and opportunities and welcome approaches from landowners and agents. We are particularly interested in the following:
