About Me

My name is Anna Turton and I am the designer, maker and dreamer behind Feathers and Thread.
I have always had love of feathers, glitter and sequins and until recently desgining and crafting has merely been a hobby not a way of life. Not any more......I have taken this passion and made it into my full time occupation. I make handmade jewellery, clothing and adornment bespoke to you! I design pieces suitable for festivals, weddings, carnivals, Prom wear and for pretty much any event you are going to. I work closely with 'you' to create a design that reflects your style, personality and creativity.
I use only quality materials and source all of my feathers from reputable suppliers. All my designs are hand crafted and no two items are the same. Each one is unique and individual.
I take inspiration from nature, Native American art and culture, festival wear and dance. I love colour and use varying textures at any given opportunity. My passion is to create for the 'individual'. To design and make a piece fitting you and your vision.
I have attended many crafts fayres and have been commissioned to make feather shawls for alternative style weddings which was an honour to be part of someones special day.

About us

All of my pieces are made with 100% love, passion and attention to detail. I aim for the highest quality and I only use feathers sourced from reputable suppliers.

From my travels, I have taken inspiration and have integrated these into my creations. I let nature guide me and in many of my designs pay homage to the beauty that is. I work as much as I can with recycled and foraged materials, ethically sourced feathers and give a big nod of acknowledgement to Native American art/culture and adornment.
Each item I make is individual and is handmade with love. No replicas and no repeats!
