Non-attendance of ambulance

Yesterday I was due to have my plaster caste removed at Basildon Hospital after 12 weeks. I had broken two leg bones. As a result, I have had to pay a private medical company upwards of £7,000 for care. But once the plaster was removed, I would be put on ‘reablement’ by Thurrock Council free of charge. A great deal of arrangements had to be made with my carers to be available at 12 midday for my 2 pm appointment. As we all now know, you had several staff call in sick and had no provision in place to cover this eventuality and no ambulance (not advised to me until 2.30 pm.) so I lost my appt. And now have to pay carers yet another week. I feel you should compensate me for this extra expense.
