Welcome to Solid Fuel Installations
We supply and install fireplaces, stoves and chimney lining in Somerset.
We're a family run business that has been establish for over 5 years and we work across Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire and parts of Hampshire.
We have a wealth of experience when it comes to installation fireplaces, chimney lining and multi - fuel stoves and our prices are very competitive.
We offer free surveys and quotes and we also offer some building work such as stove chambers and opening fireplaces. All work is carried out by trained and accredited professionals.
We can supply and install any of these products, all of which are HETAS approved products
We are a firm of qualified specialist installers who are accredited by Competent Persons Scheme specifically for the installing and servicing of wood burning stoves, multi fuel stoves, log burning stoves and solid fuel stoves, cookers and chimney lining, flue pipe kits, liners and fire accessories.
We are fully insured and have qualified installers.

Fireplaces
We can undertake fireplace conversions by removing old or disused fireplaces.
We take into account the size of the stove to be installed and make allowance for Building Regulations recommendations.
We remove all the rubble and existing fire backs, replace them with new building materials in line with your choices and use the best materials on the market. If we extend the height of the fire place, we replace it with a concrete lintel. We have carried out hundreds of installations in this way.
One of the reasons why customers are having their old fire places is that the working efficiency of an open fire is 37% in-to the room, with the rest of the heat going up the chimney. With a stove, the efficiency rate rises to 89%.
Chimneys can come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. We can advise you on what appliance or fire-place would be most suitable for you depending on the aperture and dimensions of your chimney. We can point, rebuild, extend or design the chimney to suit your needs.
