Fenwicks has been around for a while now. It could do with an update to keep up with some of the other department stores. The prices are generally higher then some of the other department stores but still a nice shop.
Been around for a while
Fenwicks has been around for a while now. They have a good bed deptartment, which has a range of beds. My bed that I have is from there. I think the store could do with a re fit. The prices are quite high to what I like to pay in a department store. The staff are very friendly and helpful
on its own
i find fenwicks a bit like a time machine in this i mean its really dated and needs a revamp and a freshen up. fenwicks is graet for handbags they always have lovely DKNY bags in the shop window but they are always far too expensive for me, they also do a really good selection of Radley bags which too are very expensive. i do like fenwicks i just dont think it will survive many more years
Last of a dying breed
I could not put it any better than the review by jimmy2drags, fenwicks is stuck in ye olde worl which is both to its charm and detriment. On the plus side you can find odd little presents that you wouldnt be able to find anywhere else, the News Shop is good, Kitchen store good and the restuarant serves up some tastie grub. On the downside I would never consider shopping for clothes or art here, it is aimed very much at an older audience.
A little dated
Not what it used to be, no wait hang on, exactly what it used to be. The majority of the stock and the shop fittings in this store appear to have been here since the late 80s. All the usual suspects designer wise can be found here as well as some very expensive names I have never heard of, some departments are better than others, but with so many good department stores located more accessibly I am not sure how this place is still making money.
